Max Lucado has an amazing gift of breaking down the most profound truths, and he makes them come alive in ways that are easy to relate to and easy to understand. It is so overwhelming to think about the incredible needs of others, and we might think that our individual actions are insignificant in the big picture. Outlive Your Life challenges each one of us to step forward and do our part, no matter how small our actions may seem at the time. Max Lucado breaks things down into little steps that we can accomplish. We need to follow the simple command of loving our neighbor. We need to get passionate about helping the poor, and ultimately we will change the world. We need to change our focus to care for others first, before ourselves. If you read only one more book this year, make it this one! As Max demonstrates in this book, change is possible through the most unlikely people - regular folks just like you and me.
